I will be the first to admit it – I’ve been slightly MIA on this lovely little blog of mine. But you guys, renovating your house is tough work, and late night house projects have slowly been creeping into writing time.
As I’m sure you’re well aware by now, Alex and I have been renovating our master bedroom since – dare I say it – last April [hides slightly from embarrassment].
In all reality, I am oh-so-proud of the work we’ve accomplished. Neither of us have tackled big renovations in the past, and in the two years that we’ve lived in this bungalow, we’ve completely renovated our kitchen and totally gutted our second floor for our soon-to-be master suite.
We are getting so close to finishing the space that I can almost feel myself soaking in our new free-standing bathtub or waking up on an entirely new level of our home. In the last week alone, we’ve spent 12+ hours painting our walls, way too many minutes analyzing bathroom tile colors and walking too many floors at Ikea. Soon though, (so, so soon) our dream will become a reality, and this gutted room will be our sanctuary.
Here’s where we’re at so far:
